ABSTRACT
The article reports on the success of the Switzerland-based Sulzer Brothers Ltd. in developing an electronically controlled information and monitoring system. Sulzer Brothers Ltd. has developed the Sulzer Production Monitoring "System 913." This Sulzer Production Monitoring "System 913" has been said to monitor not only machines of different makes but also machines from different production areas. It could link with up to a maximum of 200 machines and automatically records the downtimes of all linked-up machines and exactly locate the cause of all wrong movements.
