ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on introducing solid foods to babies. Up to the age of 6 months, a baby's digestive system can not cope with solids. By 6 months, their system has matured and they have an increased need for iron. Breast milk or formula alone is no longer enough for them. Many mothers start offering small amounts of food after 4 months, but the National Health and Medical Research Council recommends breast feeding exclusively to 6 months.
