ABSTRACT
The article provides advice on effective monitoring strategies for the computer networks of corporations. Strategies should look at Web performance problems from three directions: the user application experience, device availability and site availability. The multipronged approach helps information technology managers streamline error detection and resolution, while ensuring that most errors are fixed well before users are impacted. Technology called real-user monitoring facilitates this process by allowing IT organizations to correlate error patterns through a real-time view of each user.
