ABSTRACT
The influence of rapeseed oil in the ration on the fat content of the carcass on fattening rabbits (ZIKA-hybrids) was investigated and the fat acid profile of the legs and back fat. The rabbits received after weaning (day 28) about 56 days rations with 0, 4.5 resp. 9 % rape seed oil. Particularly 9 % rape seed oil increased the amount of kidney fat and the crude fat contents of legs and back. Rapeseed oil in the ration changed distinct the fat acid profile of legs and back fat. The concentrations of saturated fat acids (C 14:0, C 16:0, C 18:0) were decreased and the concentrations of C 18:1 and C 18:3 increased. The concentration of C 18:2 was not changed.
