ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the settlement agreement reached between Toshiba Corp. and Lexar Media Inc. over a patent infringement lawsuit. Under the agreement, Toshiba will purchase semiconductor technology patents and licenses, currently held by Micron Technology Inc., that were previously owned by Lexar for a total of $288 million. The agreements settle all outstanding NAND flash memory-related litigation between Toshiba, its subsidiaries, and Lexar.
