The article highlights the Maison & Objet show that was held in Paris, France in September 2006. Dramatic beds and ethnic-inspired furniture were the popular displays in the show. Fantasy and fanciful pieces also were plentiful while in color and texture, case goods sported various shades of red, and many upholstery pieces were decked in velvet, the more shimmery the better.
