ABSTRACT
The article reports that Stanley Furniture Co. Inc. has announced the reduction of its forecasted third-quarter sales in the U.S. in 2006. The company expects 8% to 10% decrease in sales from last year's record level. According to the case goods manufacturer and importer, the reduction is due to the continued weakness in furniture retail activity. For the full year, Stanley is projecting sales to decline by 4% to 7% from 2005.
