This article reports that Petroquim and Empresa Nacional del Petroleo (ENAP) plan to complete their petro-chemical joint venture complex in southern Chile by late 2010. The two firms are in the development stages of the $800m project. Plans for the complex include a cracker, producing 450,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 230,000 tonnes/year of propylene, a 400,000 tonnes/year high density/linear low density polyethylene swing plant, and a 150,000 tonnes/year polypropylene production line.
