This article focuses on the merger of BOC and Linde, which was completed on September 5, 2006. Under the terms of the deal, the new firm will be called The Linde Group and will have headquarters in Munich, Germany, and with some support services based at Windlesham, Guildford in England. The group have pro forma annual sales of €12.7bn and earnings before tax and amortisation of €1.6bn prior to the disposals mandated by European Union and U.S. competition authorities.
