BASF to extend rail network to China

This article reports on the plans of BASF and its partners regarding the expansion of its rail service in Russia, Turkey and China. According to Volker Knabe, managing director of BASF Schwarzheide, the extension eastward will boost business in the central-eastern German chemicals triangle and will also facilitate the transport of goods between Ludwigshafen and the group's petrochemicals complex at Nanjing, China.
