ABSTRACT
The article deals with Argentinian memories of the Second World War during and after the Malvinas-Falklands War of 1982. The British presence in Argentine society was very important. Protests against imperialism coexisted with great respect for British customs and institutions. Support was especially visible during the two world wars, in spite of the fact that Argentina remained essentially neutral during both and declared war against the Axis very late into the Second World War.
