ABSTRACT
The article reports on the launching of 2x2 MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) designed draft 802.11n solution by Atheros Communications Inc. that it hopes will advance the adoption of the next-generation wireless local area network technology. The 2x2 design is a step down from Atheros' 3x3 radio design in speed and performance, however, the company points out that the chipset provides reliable coverage throughout the home and up to 300Mbits/second.
