ABSTRACT
The article reports on American consumers ordering diagnostic tests, according to a report in the "Wall Street Journal." Online laboratories include directlabs.com, healthcheckusa.com, medlabusa.com, and mymedlab.com, allowing consumers to order tests for heart disease, sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, and iron levels. Consumers receive the name of the nearest laboratory and pick up a diagnostic test kit. Lower costs than regular lab tests and types of users are discussed.
