The article presents information on the point of sale (POS) and inventory services features of the Envision open source software. Through the POS interface, users can check stock, lookup pricing and review customer purchase histories. Performance of inventory counts and updates during normal business hours can be made via a physical inventory screen. The system has also the advantage of creating special sale, cash sale and customer-specific pricing for unlimited items.
