ABSTRACT
The article reports on the demand for rams with extreme muscle by commercial sheep buyers at a sale in Carlisle, England. Group 1 single-born shearling ram Brickrow Jack owned by Scottish breeder John Cowan topped the Beltex ram sale. Two of the highest priced shearlings were sold by Elizabeth McAllister. A strong demand for female breeds contributed to the increase in prices of such breeds.
