The article focuses on the life and works of Françoise Rivière, former president of the Centre International Macrobiotique Ohsawa. He was born to a Gascon father and a Picardian mother in Oise, France on February 7, 1916. She has been one of the students of George Ohsawa, founder of the microbiotic diet, since 1957. Her first book "La Santé et la Macrobiotique," was written in 1974. It was 1987 when she became the honorary president of the French Macrobiotic Collective.
