ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the safety measures employed by cable operators during disasters and emergencies in the U.S. The use of generators was noted to be the best way to ensure the continuing availability of power during bad conditions. Cox Communications Inc. and Comcast Cable Communications Inc. have installed generators to support their systems when unpleasant phenomena occur. Cable operators must consider the need to invest money to guarantee high-quality services.
