This article reports on the findings of Lipper Inc., which shows that managers who have been with mutual funds outperform those who have not been at their position for very long. Long-term managers are hard to find, with only eight percent working at the same mutual fund since 1995. More than fifty percent of solo mutual fund managers have only been with the fund for at least three years and twenty percent have been there for less than two years.
