ABSTRACT
The article reports on the potential growth of software publishers in Oregon. Software publishers in the state develop programs for banking, payroll, human resources, casinos, computer games and operating systems. The industry had a total of 7,700 employees as of June 2006. Employment in the industry is expected to grow by 22.7 percent from 2004 to 2014.
