This article focuses on desire of U.S. Senators Wayne Allard and and Ken Salazar both from Colorado to investigate Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. in connection with the company's dispute with EchoStar Communications Corp. over the sale of Fox network programming to hundreds of thousands of rural satellite customers. EchoStar is near to shutting off distant network service under judicial injunction. News Corp. owns 25 Fox Broadcasting Co. stations and has control of DirecTV Inc. News Corp. refused to settle with EchoStar.
