ABSTRACT
The article features the music revivalist group The Beau Hunks. They have the rare music cues of Hal Roach's comedy films in their collection. These cues were used in silent films, as noise reduction because there was no dialog. Roach hired music composer Leroy Shield to create music cues for these films. The Beau Hunks painstakingly transcribed this music in their 1994 record. An astronaut on the space shuttle carried their CD Laurel & Hardy/Leroy music, which is a great compliment to their work.
