The article discusses the increasing number of specialty vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. that are using structural adhesives to replace rivets and mechanical fasteners in truck body and trailer manufacturers. Scott D. Anderson, application engineer of Loctite Industrial Adhesives said that the structural adhesives is beneficial to metal-bonding applications. The limitations of structural adhesives are discussed.
