Wool sheet compacting machine set to reduce transport costs

The article reports on the capability of a wool sheet compactor designed by Hampshire, England-based farmer Ferris Whidbourne and displayed at the Sheep Event to reduce the transportation expenditure of the British Wool Marketing Board. The cost of the machine is £14,000. The cost saving from transporting wool would benefit the price of the product. An on-farm packing machine for fleece is also exhibited at the event.
