ABSTRACT
The article reports that farm businesses that received detailed consumer information from the Tesco Clubcard database have declared a significant growth in business and improved efficiencies according to a study conducted by the Food Chain Centre in Great Britain. The study revealed the importance to any business of having detailed information when making strategic planning and marketing decisions. The key factors that consumer information could offer businesses include better understanding of their market and their customers.
