ABSTRACT
The article reports on the market performance of for-profit postsecondary education providers for the mid year of 2006 in the U.S. Companies reported double-digit gains despite a slower pace of growth. Variations in the performances were seen as a result of the changes in their marketing and admissions efforts. Furthermore, the increased scrutiny by the state and federal regulatory agencies also influenced market activities.
