ABSTRACT
The article reports on the divestment opportunities being considered by U.S.-based Ferro to reduce its debt leverage in technology and production. The company has decided to sell its specialty plastic business to private equity firm Wind Point Partners. An annual savings of $40 million to $50 million is expected to achieve from the restructuring of the inorganic specialties business of Ferro in Europe.
