The association of bacterial vaginosis with a history of second-trimester miscarriage

The article determines the association of bacterial vaginosis with a history of second-trimester miscarriage based on a study presented. The study revealed that BV was associated significantly more with late miscarriages than early losses in women with a history of recurrent miscarriage, irrespective of ethnic origin. The occurrence of BV more frequently in smokers has also been noted.
