ABSTRACT
The article cites a study conducted to determine the efficacy of bacterial vaginosis (BV) screening and treatment during the second trimester of pregnancy as prevention for preterm delivery. The study used Fisher's exact test for statistical analysis on treatment of 900 pregnant women from 3 gynecological clinics in Berlin and were identified as goup's A, B, and C. Results reflected that screening and treatment of BV during the 2nd trimester significantly reduced the rate of preterm deliveries
