The article reports that on August 1, 2006, the U.S. Treasury Department has auctioned $27 billion of four-week bills at a 5.120% high yield, a price of 99.601778. The coupon equivalent was 5.21%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.29. Tenders at the high rate were allocated 83.97%. The average yield was 5.100%, while the low yield was 5.050%.
