The article reports that five members of the Senate Banking Committee has filed amendments that they hope will be incorporated into bipartisan credit rating agency reform bill in the United States. Legislators Chuck Schumer, Robert Menendez, and Michael Enzi each filed differently worded amendments that would deter the Securities and Exchange Commission from existing its authority over methodologies of the credit rating agencies.
