Aleris Acquires Corus Business

The article reports on the acquisition of the aluminum business of Corus Group PLC by Aleris International Inc., in Beachwood, Ohio. The purchase includes the Corus aluminum rolling and extrusion businesses except its aluminum smelters. Personnel changes will be made by the company as a result of the acquisition which include the promotion of Sean M. Stack as executive vice president of Aleris. John Wasz, Aleris executive vice president and president of Alexis Rolled Products in North America, will handle Corus' Canadian operations.
