ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the effort set by the suppliers of steel plate to meet the needs of customers, including manufacturers of heavy equipment and power-generating windmills. According to mill and service center executives, the demand for steel plate is increasing, which is outpacing the supply. Thus, domestic mills are operating at full capacity to meet the demand of the market for plate, placing customers on controlled order entry to parcel out the available steel equally.
