ABSTRACT
The article presents a statistical description of the demographic profile of mobile phone users in Europe. The overall mobile phone penetration among adults aged 15 and above in Europe is 72 percent. In Great Britain, people over 65 are twice as likely to own a mobile as they are in Germany. Meanwhile, 18 percent of mobile users in France have been with the same provider for five years or more.
