ABSTRACT
The article reports that South African mining giant De Beers is participating in a program called "Women in Mining." The program was launched by the Dept. of Minerals and Energy to fast-track and empower previously disadvantaged women to assume senior positions in the mining industry. As part of the program, De Beers has chosen Nkateko Mathonsi, Simangale Magoma and Rhandu Mahlaule to obtain a Masters in Management of Innovation and Technology degree.
