ABSTRACT
The article relates an author's narration on the effect of gas drilling to their ranch and country living in western Colorado. Aside from the increased traffic and dust, pipelines and roads have also been developed immensely. The unbearable flaring gas and mine wastes eventually made her and her husband sell the ranch to a person who is interested in their mineral rights.
