ABSTRACT
The article reports on the market trend for government securities in the U.S. as of August 11, 2006. Trades cited by the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board indicated some weakness. Bonds from an interdealer trade of University of Arkansas 5s and Connecticut 5s yielded 4.48 percent and 3.94 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the treasury market was slightly weaker as the 10-year Treasury note opened at 4.94 percent and closed at 4.97 percent.
