ABSTRACT
The article reports on the expedition led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to discover the way to the Pacific Ocean. Member of the Corps of Discovery led by the two had been following the Columbia River for two months, and their sighting of Mount Hood confirmed that they were nearing the Pacific Ocean.
