ABSTRACT
The article reports on the approval of the sale of $600 million certificates of participation (COPs) by the South Florida Water District in Bradenton, Florida. The transaction is part of the $1.8 billion financing program for the eight major Everglades restoration projects. In addition, the COPs were approved with a yield not exceeding 5.25 percent and final maturity of 2036. It has named Deutsche Bank National Trust Co. as trustee and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. as book-runner.
