ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's experience of being a commissioning engineer for a boiler company. He relates his experience of putting on a unit in a utility power plant for the first time. He narrates the outcome after a janitor lifted the bottom of the manometer that was being used to achieve accurate indication of the condenser vacuum.
