ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concept of using off-duty paramedics to deliver home health care services to area residents in the districts of fire chief Dan Hermes of the Plesantview Fire Protection District in Chicago, Illinois. The concept is to provide support to the growing shortage of home health care trained professional and for a more proactive firefighter paramedics force, which is approved by the Illinois Association of Fire Chiefs, Hospitals and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
