ABSTRACT
The article discusses key issues concerning the electronic bill pay and presentment services offered by banks to clients in the U.S. Online bill payments are believed to be vital to customer retention and cross-selling by banks even though less than 50% of their online customers use it. New products, features and services from firms like Yodlee and CheckFree in 2006, however, may indicate that revenues from online bill payments may be realized by banks.
