BP Looks to Shed Company Operations

The article reports that BP PLC is planning to give more of company-operated convenience store sites into the hands of franchisees and increase the participation of jobbers in its retail network. The company is piloting a franchise based on the am/pm model in Florida. Scott Dean, BP spokesperson, said that the company is planning to innovate, develop and further improve its brand and will continue to have company-operated sites.
