ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a licensing deal made by agribusiness major Syngenta Crop Protection Co. with TyraTech, a Florida-based firm that develops novel natural insecticides. Under the agreement, Syngenta will have access to TyraTech's proprietary technology for identifying plant-derived essential oils, which are used to create a new class of highly effective natural insecticides.
