Harlequin Sales Fall While Unit Sales Creep Up

The article reports on the financial performance of Toronto, Ontario-based Harlequin Enterprises Ltd. The publishing company had its struggling second quarter across all enterprises. Factors were through distribution problems, moderate retail growth, and the U.S. dollar hedges and the unstable currency. If such currency movements and dollar hedges did not factored in, its revenue dropped 2.4%, but with impacts factored in, revenue fell 12.8%, and the operating profit was down by 56%.
