ABSTRACT
The article reports on the partnership of wireless communication supplier Qualcomm Inc. and semiconductor foundry Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (SMIC) for integrated circuit manufacturing services. It is said that the services would utilize the Bipolar Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor process technology in the facility of SMIC in Tianjin, China. It is stated that the partnership would leverage the operation of the foundry.
