The article focuses on the advantages of investing in the energy and telecommunications sectors in Central Asia. The revenue of oil producer Burren Energy has more than doubled to $390 million in 2005. Twenty-percent of the net proven oil and natural gas reserves of Chevron is in Kazakhstan. Kazakhtelecom has posted a revenue of $748 million in 2005.
