ABSTRACT
The article reports on the proposed debt restructuring plan presented to a New York court by satellite firm Satmex company in Mexico City, Mexico. The proposed plan would free Satmex nearly half of its previous debt if the deal is approved. In total, Satmex had defaulted on more than $700 million in debt, including $520 million in U.S.-held bonds.
