The article presents an update on the prices of solvents in Europe as of July 24, 2006. Acetone prices have yet to move upwards, despite a mixture of planned and unplanned outages at production facilities at Orlen's Plock plant in Poland, and at Polimeri's units in Italy and Spain. Isopropanol prices are hovering at around €870-900/tonne in a unexceptional market. Methylene chloride is tight, with numbers reported at around €520-550/tonne.
