Parliament aims to limit use of PFOS

The article reports on the adoption of a report by the European Parliament's environment committee that would lead to a reduction in the use of perfluorooctane sulphonate (PFOS). In a bid to limit the volume of PFOS used, the Parliament is proposing that the material should not be placed on the market or used as a substance or constituent of preparations in concentration equal to, or higher than 0.1% by mass.
