ABSTRACT
The article reports on the financial performance of electronic companies for the quarter ended June 2006. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. posted a 8.7 percent decrease in sales. Infineon recorded a decline in sales from the second quarter due to lower revenues. The profits of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd. decreased due to higher cost per wafer.
